About the role
- Perform major mechanical repairs.
- Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Rotate and balance tires; change oil and filters; lubricate vehicle parts; inspect and replace parts and maintain all fluid levels.
- Maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles and evaluate the condition of systems, equipment, accessories, and lights; service as needed.
- Demonstrate the process of preventive maintenance and visual inspections to mechanic helpers.
- Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
- Help keep equipment and tools in safe operating condition.
- Coordinates all scheduled repairs with Maintenance Supervisor and Site Coordinators.
