About the role

• Perform major mechanical repairs.
• Service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Rotate and balance tires; change oil and filters; lubricate vehicle parts; inspect and replace parts and maintain all fluid levels.
• Maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and evaluate the condition of systems, equipment, accessories, and lights; service as needed.
• Demonstrate the process of preventive maintenance and visual inspections to mechanic helpers.
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
• Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
• Help keep equipment and tools in safe operating condition.
• Coordinates all scheduled repairs with Maintenance Supervisor and Site Coordinators.
